SKY LOUNGE FAQs
* How much does it cost to reserve the Sky Lounge? The Sky Lounge rental fee is $500 + an additional $500 security deposit (the security deposit is refundable based on the room's post-event condition.) The Sky Lounge is only rentable by current Eugenie Terrace residents, and must be reserved, and paid for, directly by the resident hosting the event. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept payment from non-residents. If you are reserving the Sky Lounge far in advance of your event date, the reservation will be contingent upon your valid lease-holding status on the date of your event. * How long can my event last? Four hours. The $500 rental fee and security deposit covers use of the space for up to four hours. The rental fee is a flat rate, and is not prorated for shorter events. All room rentals must end by midnight (the latest start time for a four-hour event is 8:00 PM.) All preparation and clean-up must take place within the reserved four-hour time frame. If you will be utilizing the kitchen and/or bar during your event, you are responsible for making sure that these spaces are left clean and tidy (and that all leftover food, drinks, and items are removed from the Sky Lounge by the end of your event.) * Does renting the Sky Lounge include the Pool and Sky Deck? No. Sky Lounge rentals only include use of the interior Sky Lounge space. The Pool and Sky Deck are a separate amenity and only accessible by Eugenie Terrace residents. The Pool and Sky Deck are not rentable for private events and Sky Lounge event guests are not permitted to access the outdoor space under any circumstances. The Eugenie Terrace resident hosting the Sky Lounge event is responsible for the conduct of all of their guests and will directly incur the following penalties if guests enter the 44th floor outdoor space (Pool Deck, Sky Deck, or Grill Deck) for any reason: a $500 fine, forfeiture of their $500 security deposit, immediate shut-down of their Sky Lounge event, and Sky Lounge rental privileges permanently revoked. * If I rent the Sky Lounge, can I use the Sky Deck grills? The grills are available on a first come, first served basis. Because they are located on the Sky Deck, they are only available to Eugenie Terrace residents (no guests.) Use of the grills can not be reserved, but you are welcome to use them if they are available during your event. * Can I bring in my own food and drinks? Yes. You may bring in your own food and drinks to your event (kegs are not allowed.) If you are hiring a caterer and would like to use the freight elevator, please contact the Doorman in advance to reserve elevator time. * Can I play music? Yes. Music can be played at a reasonable party volume (but please be mindful that residents live directly beneath the Sky Lounge.) There are several electrical outlets throughout the lounge, and many hosts choose to bring their own sound dock (or similar device) to play music during their events. Live Music, DJs, and/or loud speaker systems are not permitted in the Sky Lounge. * What is the capacity of the Sky Lounge? Per Covid-19 guidelines, the Sky Lounge can accommodate up to 40 people (inclusive of residents, guests, and any event staff.) All lounge occupants must practice safe social-distancing and wear face masks at all times. No ticketed or cover charge events are permitted. * How do I reserve the Sky Lounge? Here on this site. Please first make sure that your date is open by checking the availability calendar provided at the top of this page. If your event date is open, please complete and submit this request form. We will be in touch with you to confirm your request and finalize reservation details. No reservation is confirmed until we have approved your request and received your full payment. * How do I pay for the reservation? All reservations must be paid in full to secure the booking. The Eugenie Terrace resident making the reservation is personally responsible for providing payment in the form of (2) personal checks (we can not accept payment from a co-host, guest, or affiliated company.) Your payment will be used to hold your reservation date, and your check will be processed the week of your event. The $500 security deposit will only be charged if the room is dirtied/damaged from your event or if your guests violate the roofdeck or Covid-19 restrictions. * What is the Cancellation Policy? Sky Lounge reservations can be canceled, without penalty, up to (2) business days prior to the event date. Any cancellation made within (2) business days of the the event date will be charged the full rental amount. * What if my event date is already booked on the calendar? If your event date is already marked on the calendar as "BOOKED," then another resident has reserved the space on that day or Pear Chef is cooking in the Sky Lounge kitchen that night. Due to the popularity of the Sky Lounge (for both private events and regular resident use), we do not accept multiple bookings for the same day. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our Events Manager, Kelli Taylor, at ktaylor@villagegreen.com |
